Parsecs. (3.26 lightyears is a parsec, fur those wha dinna ken. This last sentence is Scottish, by the way.)

Lightyears.

Miles.

Kilometres.

Speed of light, speed of sound, speed of thought.

165 miles, 165 kilometres, 1,650 miles, 5,850 miles. . .almost 1/4 around the world.

But what's the difference between 10 parsecs away and half a kilometre, if you don't know something is that half a kilometre away? You're still not gonna meet it, or see it.
