What To Do After A Walk In The Forest, On A Rainy Day?

Sit in front of the fireplace with my mates, with a kettle of creamed Twinin's black current tay, and three bags of Lindor white chocolate truffles. Yes, we each ate our whole bag.

I don't think I'll be eatin' the second meal o' the day, though. I don't think any of us will be.

Then tomorrow is house cleanin' day followed by lunch out. Well, we'll be the nightmare o' the buffet with not havin' eaten is so long.

Fine by me.

----------------------

Gods, I loved this house. I loved the verandah, the covered balcony outside our bedroom, the other balconies, the attic, the basement, the huge yard with pasture, abandoned orchards, abandoned garden plots where things now grew wild, the dirt road in the forest that led to a stream on someone else's property, the peace, the quiet, the birds and other wild critters, and the fact that I was probably gonna be outta here before the heavy snows began to fall. . .I hope.

Yes, all was planned. On the 9th, we take what we need to the prettiest hotel in town, havin' reserved the best suite that was top floor, with fireplace, and covered balcony right over the hotel gazebo, overlookin' the park-like back. The parkin' lot was out o' sight, the occupancy would be low, and it would be just one week there of sheer fun and no work, whatsoever. We'd see the parts of the town we hadn't been to yet, eat out twice a day, and just do spur o' the moment things. I won't be surfin' the web anymore, and this blog will have been closed down when we do this, but hey. It's long enough, isn't it? Except for 'our' poetry and my stories that hardly anyone is readin', pretty pointless; too.

Four more housecleanin's. I won't miss that, I must say. The last one before we leave will be done by my mentor, and he wants the rest of us gone when he does it, so we won't be seein' too much o' him on the 9th of November, but oh well. There will be 6 other days to paint the town!
