The house was nicer. Bigger. Better atmosphere. A forest in back, a farm to the left, a farm to the right, a farm across from us, and hey! We had been on an ex-farm with abandoned orchards that were commonly raided. We gave permission to everyone in the vicinity to do that, but it happened whether or not anyone was there, and it would have happened even if we didn't sanctify it.
But here. . .fresh linens every day. All the rooms got cleaned unless we asked them not to, every day.
The mullethead and my mentor have been gettin' up earlier the past couple of days. A couple o' hours earlier, and it's been nice. The mullethead's been workin' on 5 to 6 hours o' sleep lately. 'It' seemed to be requirin' less of it.
This mornin' at a wee before 5:00 AM, we had the heaters cranked, the back door wide open, and we stood on the balcony with hot chocolate in hand, starin' at the dark, starry sky. It was near freezin', and soooooo quiet. After that, we closed the door, lit the fireplace, and we each took our turn takin' a shower whilst the other two sat in front o' the fire. No brekkie this morn'. We'd spend some time in the park down the street later, and do a heavy lunch, and light dinner later. The mullethead and I would be takin' turns on the political research. Right now stocks were gettin' royally slammed, and again we wondered, is it finally gonna be over?!
Things are a'changin', and finally for the good. The transition is in progress, and we're leavin' at the beginnin'. My mentor told the mullethead that this is what 'it' had to see before 'it' left here, in addition to havin' been wantin' to be around for the era change, even though the new day of the new era was indistinguishable from the last day of the old era. Yes, this is also what I wanted to see.
So peaceful here. No protests, and I have no idea how the town was doin' as far as the bank runs on the major banks went. Is Bank of America website up yet? Could look it up, but there's so much more.
We were on an oasis in HELL.
