Finally to say good-bye to July. I HATED that month. I hated between May 15 to August 15. The days were too long, though this was a nice place, the temperatures might do their worst durin' that time, and around August 15, I got that 'twilight of the year' feelin'.
So now I have 101 days to be stuck here, wishin' to be home, but tryin' to distract myself as much as possible; which would be no problem for a while, for we will have some fun over the next two days. We'll be hikin' in the back today, and goin' way beyond the bounds of our rented property, just scarfin' the fruits the land has to offer, and takin' our risks with the waters of the streams. If any of us got sick, oh well. We'd recover, but it wasn't likely we would get sick. Tomorrow, we'd go to town on foot, and spend the day there. We planned to kick back at various parks, pay the library a visit, share a huge veggie pizza with tripple toppin's and a couple of pitchers of root beer, visit the ice cream shop later for banana splits and malt root beer floats. I'd have mango ice cream in mine, the mullethead planned on black cherry, and my mentor wanted coconut in his. And of course, the next two nights were tentatively mine, if ya ken what I mean. Provided there was anythin' left of us after our days, that is. We might be too tired, and just pass out, but how could I speculate? Those two surprised me sometimes in their stamina, regardin' some things.
Well, off to take my mornin' shower, and gettin' dressed for that hike in the outback. I'd enjoy this a bit. We planned to hit home by dusk.
